The Jewell in the Bake Lakes crown. This Lake has risen rapidly to become Cornwall’s Premier Specimen Carp Lake. A challenging but rewarding lake for the avid carp angler. Stocked with some of the most Pristine and stunning carp around, this lake has proven popular as a hidden gem. A large head of Carp varying from 15lb to the Mid 30lb mark, with many of these young fish not even close to their full potential. A large number of Carp over 30lb and also home to Double figure pike. Also has road access to each peg.
The Rules
You must have an Environment Agency rod licence to fish this lake
No rods to be left unattended
Maximum 3 rods per angler ( 2 rod licences needed)
Carp Care Kits must be used
No surface fishing
No fixed leads, all leads must be detachable
Minimum hook size 10, Maximum 4
Barbless or Micro barb only
No leadcore line
No braided mainline, braid allowed for spod/marker only
You may only fish from your swim
Landing nets must be dry before use and minimum size 36”
Large unhooking mats or cradles must be used
No artificial baits larger than a grain of corn
No keepnets/Carp sacks
Minimum Line strength 10lb, Max 20lb
Carp rods only with a rod test curve 2lb minimum
